to Questions - Creation vs.
Evolution
If it’s so obvious, why did
Evolution gain so much acceptance from science in the first place?
Long before space probes and electron
microscopes, the great scientists had no doubt about Creation (including
Newton, Galileo and others). Then came Darwin, the industrial revolution
and "higher criticism" of the Bible (a movement when intellects in the
late 1800’s decided they knew more about the Bible, than the original
authors - an idea since proven wrong). A few fossils in Darwin’s day,
combined with discovery of God’s plan of natural selection (ability of
creatures to adapt - called MICROevolution - and consistent with the
Bible) was extended into MACRO Evolution. Today most people equate the
word EVOLUTION with MACROevolution. It claims that randomly produced
living cells changed, over eons, into entirely new species - eventually
into man. God was not necessary.
Many scientists quickly jumped on this
Evolution bandwagon. People began to think science = knowledge, and the
Bible = stories. But at that time, scientists had faulty information. They
thought human cells were "blobs" of protoplasm, that the universe was
infinite, that fossils would eventually prove Evolution through vast
quantities of "missing links." All contradicted the Bible. So a battle
between science and theology erupted. However, EVERY ONE of those
scientific ideas has been proven WRONG. The electron microscope showed
cells far more complex than the most modern factories, space probes proved
General Relativity (that time and space had a beginning), NO missing link
fossils were found... science even discovered life came about suddenly in
great bursts - just as the Bible says.
We have never created life... nor ever come
close. Unfortunately old ideas still abound in textbooks and in people’s
minds. Schools still reject teaching of Creation, and new evidence is slow
to filter down. Many scientists are specialists and don’t investigate the
evidence of Creation. Most of us were taught Evolution was "fact." Did you
know that in Darwin’s day, we didn’t even know that germs produced
infections? Sterilization wasn’t used by doctors. It killed millions of
people. The Bible already had such "medical" rules. Did you know the Bible
was the "medical text" finally used to conquer the dreaded Black Plaque?
Can you imagine ignoring sterilization today? Darwin’s doctors did. Why
are we are so quick to use discoveries (e.g. sterilization), abandoning
100 year old ideas that cause physical death... yet we are so slow to
reject absurd ideas that can lead to ETERNAL death?
