to Questions - Creation vs.
Evolution
Don’t useless body parts
show ancestors of other species?
NO. It’s interesting that as we develop
better tools and better understanding of life, it ALL leads to the Bible,
never away. For years the development of the human fetus was claimed
"evidence" of Evolution. Young fetuses showed what appeared to be a tail,
a "yolk sac" and gills. Some argued it revealed evolutionary ancestors.
Scientists now understand that we’d have major problems without any ONE of
these parts. The tail becomes the tailbone - essential for connecting
major muscles that allow us such things as disposing of human waste (using
the toilet). The "yolk sac" is the initial source of blood cells. The
"gill slits" become the inner ear. What about tonsils - they seem a
nuisance. Medical scientists believe the purpose of tonsils is to protect
the digestive and respiratory system from infections (that we can treat
today - but not in the past). When "useless" body parts come up, look for
a real explanation (either today or in the past).
